About service in Boise

Boise is Idaho's capital and largest city, and the seat of Ada County. It sits at the base of the Boise Foothills, where the Boise River leaves the mountains and flows west across the Treasure Valley. The Boise River Greenbelt follows the river through the city, linking parks, Boise State University and downtown, and Bogus Basin ski area sits in the mountains just north of town.

Housing ranges widely. The North End and East End have early twentieth-century bungalows and cottages on tree-lined streets, many with alleys and detached garages. The Bench, a raised plateau south of downtown, has mid-century ranches and older subdivisions, while Southeast Boise and the foothills hold newer homes, some on steep lots. Remodels, basement finishes, roof replacements, infill homes and downtown apartment and office projects are all common. Micron Technology's headquarters and campus in southeast Boise add industrial construction to the mix.

The climate is semi-arid, with hot, dry summers and cold winters that can bring snow and stubborn inversions. Summer is busy for exterior work, floats on the river and outdoor events, while winter crews deal with frozen ground and icy foothill roads.

Haul & Hygiene does not run a Boise office, yard or trucks. We coordinate with independent haulers and sanitation providers serving the Treasure Valley, and your provider confirms equipment and scheduling for your address.
