Our rules
Guides are written and reviewed by the Haul & Hygiene Editorial Team.
- We publish no invented prices, statistics, reviews or testimonials.
- When dimensions, weight limits or prices vary by provider, we say so and give the factors behind them.
- Regulatory guidance cites the primary source (for example OSHA or a state environmental agency) and tells readers to confirm with local authorities.
- Location pages are published for search engines only after they carry genuinely local information. Unfinished pages are set to noindex.
- Pages show their last-updated date. Corrections are made promptly when we find or are told about an error.
Sources we rely on
Regulatory and safety guidance is checked against primary sources rather than other rental websites. The sources we use most often:
- OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 for construction-site sanitation and toilet counts.
- 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design for accessible portable toilets.
- State environmental and solid-waste agencies for disposal restrictions on items such as tires, batteries, electronics and appliances.
- City and county public works or permit offices for right-of-way and placement rules.
- Equipment specifications from manufacturers and providers, presented as typical ranges because sizes vary.
How location pages are written
A state or city page has to earn its place. Each one covers what is genuinely different in that area: housing and lot types, weather and seasons, common projects, permit practices, and disposal considerations. Pages without enough local substance stay out of search results until they are finished. We never claim an office, yard or crew in a city where we do not have one.
Updates and corrections
Every page shows when it was last updated. We review guides on a regular cycle and sooner when a rule changes. When a reader reports an error, we check it against the primary source, correct the page if needed, and update the date.
Report an error
